Now that’s something you don’t see every day.

Rescue Me

In August I posted a photo of a Cat Finder sticker I saw on a door in Old Town. Since then, I’ve seen quite a few more for both dogs and cats. What a great idea.

Even a hamster was brought to be blessed. This young lady brought her cat. My own four declined to leave the house.

Not For Sale

Florist shop window display in Old Town. One of these items, I’m sure, is not for sale.

Cat Mail

Cat Mail

By a strange coincidence, not long after taking yesterday’s frogbox, on my way to do a little shopping at Bailey’s Corners, a shopping mall about five miles from home, I spied this cat mailbox on a road I’d taken many times. Until I had taken the photo of the frog mail box, I had never noticed it.

Unfortunately, I have no clever quotes, puns or tie-ins to add. So there you have it.

Cat Finder

Cat Finder

You’ve seen how much people love their dogs in Alexandria, but there is also a large group of cat lovers. There are at least a half dozen cat rescue groups and shelters in the Alexandria area alone. I volunteered at one of them for awhile, and during that time two homeless kittens found a home with me.*

This is the first time I’ve seen such a sticker on anyone’s door. What a kind and loving gesture, to think of the welfare of one’s pet in case of emergency. I’ll have to pay more attention now and see if I find any others.

*I’m not going to inflict my pet pictures on ADP visitors, because that’s not what this blog is about. But I’m happy to share them with other cat lovers. If you want to see them, click here.
