Every spring a carnival comes to Landmark Mall. This year the carnies are probably wishing they had waited another couple of weeks, as the weather here has not been carnival-friendly. Temperatures have been about 20 degrees below average for most of the month of April. Last night it was pretty breezy and chilly. I had a jacket on, but there were some, mostly kids, who had neither jackets nor sweaters. Guess they’re pretty tired of bundling up right about now.
As I was taking some shots of the Ferris wheel, the old Blood, Sweat & Tears song kept running through my head.
Wow I love this shot! Beautiful!
Love the carnival atmosphere and the ferris wheel, my favorite carnie ride. Very colourful and conveys the mood and tone of the setting. It’s chilly here in St. Paul, too. You and I should be in Mexico. PS Don’t forget to visit St. Paul today!!
I ever loved to go on it 🙂 This one look like pretty and colourful !
A place that children love. Nice photograph.
the less people the more chances of wining the stuff toys!
Nice perspective
I like fairgrounds even though I find them faintly menacing for some reason. Maybe it’s because I can’t divorce them from Ray Branbury’s wonderful book “Something Wicked This Way Comes.” It was made into a film (which I have never seen) in the 1980s.
Hi MarieMcc, I like your photo of the ferris wheel. I remember loving to ride on these because they weren’t too scary. Now, however, I’d rather see them from your angle.
I came back to thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate your visits and comments. Thank you.
