Enchanted Snowstorm

Yesterday I was at work all day. Just as I was leaving, it started to snow heavily. I was alternately enchanted at how beautiful everything was and concerned about the drive home. I pulled over for a moment to take this photo near the Lincoln Memorial. I’m surprised the snowflakes didn’t show, as the snow was coming down so heavily it was almost a whiteout. Instead it just looks foggy, but it’s still a pretty scene.

Ten minutes later it was all over, and the rest of the drive back to Alexandria was easy.
