A better view of Alexandria’s beautiful City Hall will be hard to find. Usually there are cars parked in front of it and people walking on the sidewalk. When the snow began falling it was late Sunday afternoon, and there weren’t many people downtown at that time. The snow on the sidewalk is almost completely without footprints.
The leafy tree canopy also hides the elegance of this historic building for most of the year, so this was a great opportunity to capture it.
Our little snowfall is starting to melt already!
What a beautiful red City Hall. Its most unusual to have one that color. You captured the building so well.
Marie, thanks reminding me of this song. I haven’t heard it in a few weeks. Good thing my iTunes library is so large. It is playing now as the soundtrack for this photo. 😉
Photo, it’s just red brick. A lot of buildings in Old Town are that color. There are lots and lots of brick buildings here. Even in my header photo. 🙂
Rudy, the whole world is a song. I love to use song titles as captions if I can. 🙂
Very nice photo, it all fits in so nice. I wish it still looked like that outside!!
