Here I had that great firemark series going, and weather happens!! Winter finally visited Alexandria yesterday and dusted us with our first snow of the season. Naturally I had to take advantage of the abrupt change in ambience and run around to snap all my favorite places with this powdery blanket. I’ll resume the firemark series in a few days when the snow melts.
Standing on Shooter’s Hill looking down King Street with the George Washington Masonic Temple behind me, I first showed you this scene last October.
Snow… it’s been a while since I last seen it. Ice cream is as far as we get in the winter season. Best wishes for manageable weather. Keep warm!

We had our first snow of thw winter yesterday too
What a familiar sight!! Got love snow in Alexandria, I had fun driving home last night. I am from Minnesota so it was fun to see snow for a change. I like your fire series.
Glad your winter season has finally arrived so you can take more pictures. I have been enjoying your fire mark series. I never knew anything about that before. Thanks for the information.
Rudy, it was a very light snowfall. It’s already melting!
Gerald, hope you didn’t get too much. I think it’s pretty but a pain to get around in.
Dave, this must have been a big laugh for you, from Minnesota. We don’t often get much snow, and when we do it goes away fast.
Photo, I did take advantage of our brief snow to get a nice collection of snow photos, which I’ll show this week.
Dave & Photo, the firemark series will continue after our brief winter interlude. 🙂
