What a stylish hat she has. I was completely taken with these shutter dog figures when I first saw them.
I wanted to go back and reshoot yesterday’s and today’s shutter dogs after I got my tripod. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find the location again.

They are certainly unusual, I’ve never seen any such gate latches in the U.K. They must have been a little more expensive than ordinary ones, but certainly they are stylish.

Sophie, I think so. I’ve only seen a few like these and they were on old (as in, more than 100 years old) historic townhouses where they are required to keep to a strict preservation standard.
Curly, I’m sure you’re right. They seem to be quite well made and sturdy.
