The New Year is upon us, and with it comes a new collection of travel photos. I’m using this photo of My Place in Tuscany, a shop on King Street, to introduce you to Melinda Trips.
Melinda is one of my dearest and oldest friends. We’ve known each other since we were six years old. She frequently travels to Italy, as she has relatives there and is a total Italiaphile. Finally last year she got a digital camera and recorded her most recent trip with it.
After much pestering, I convinced my tech-challenged friend to put some of her travel photos online by offering to help her create and build a site and upload the photos. It’s not a blog, just the photos from her most recent trip to Italy in September 2006. But if you’re an armchair traveler and you love Italy, this site is well worth a look.

This photo makes me feel like I’m back in Siena ready to embark on a shopping spree! I am sure my husband is already well inside the depths of the shop, picking out one of those beautiful ceramic plates in the window. Brava, Marie!
