Naked trees salute the evening sky as the sun sinks below the horizon.
I have yet to find a vantage point from which to capture a fabulous sunset without something ugly or intrusive spoiling the shot. But this worked for me!

Me too! Wonderful photo!
Magical photo! Stunning!
Sunsets can be such a cliche*, but this one is unusual and very lovely indeed.
*When I was in photog. school, taking my first color course, the professor told the class that if anyone’s final portfolio contained a photograph of a sunrise or a sunset behind the Washington Monument, it was an automatic “F” on the course!
Nothing ugly about this shot. Note to Passante: A rather didactic man, I’d say! If I wouldn’t be too impolite, I’d say, “F… him!”
Beautiful!!!
Umm, Kate, he (a photographer of some stature and a first-class teacher) had his tongue in his cheek. But undoubtedly he’d seen enough pretty pink skies behind the W. Monument to last him a lifetime! In the same way, when I taught college English, I used to tell students that I had read more than enough argument papers on abortion and capital punishment, and that I would be FAR more kindly disposed toward their efforts if they didn’t pick one of those two topics!
tres belle photo et de superbes couleurs.
very beautiful photograph and of superb colors
I feel like that daily with all of the clutter here in Houston…but I really think this shot turned out great! Very nice job!
Yes, this definitely works!
