Waffle Shop

I love this old Waffle Shop sign, too, also in Del Ray. I’d have shown you these two signs at night, but they’re both white so it wasn’t worth the effort.

The restaurant itself (spelled “Wafle” House on the side of the building) didn’t look like a place where I wanted to eat, and let’s just leave it at that.

I could not get this photo to load, but your comment about the “Wafle” house reminded me of a site I found today: Engrish.com (as in Spanglish).

It has some funny building signs in English in Japan. Lots of other mistakes, too. I’m sure the photos are not the quality of yours, but you might find them funny.

I needed a laugh after what I’ve been writing about lately.

Nice retro sign. I love old restaurants for their exteriors, but like you I wouldn’t necessarily want to eat at them!

I like the sign, but I would really like a waffel. Haven’t had one since I left the US. Maybe I need to buy a waffle iron.

Yummmm…I love waffles and this sign has great colors and composition. Too bad the restaurant doesn’t live up to its name.
