The Blessing of the Pets ceremony was brief, then they got down to the blessing of individual animals. There were so many animals that three pastors divided up the blessings in different areas in the churchyard. It was a very sweet and moving event. I’ll be there next year!

c’est amusant, j’ais vu deja des ceremonies comme celle la , lors de mes visites a NYC, mais jamais en France (il faudra que je me renseigne, pour savoir si cela existe.).
Kate, Carol, the solemn dignity of the Golden Retriever is so appropriate for the ceremony. It’s amazing because dogs pant pretty much all the time, but this one did not for this special moment. The man holding him was beaming from ear to ear. This is my favorite photo of that day.
In France, I remember, dogs were taken everywhere. In America that is not so true. Perhaps America is beginning to be more inclusive to the dogs and other animals with whom we live, who we love.
Goos stret shot with nice doggy moment. great Job. Thanx for look.

She's passionate about Italy and knows how to wring the gusto out of every minute. Beautiful photos of Italy and an interesting travelogue at Melinda Trips.

This is a great capture. Love the expression on the dog’s face!
What Kate said! The expression on the dog’s face is so sweet.
Olivier, j’espere que ca existe en France.

What a great photo. I will have to check and see if that is done here in Sequim.
I love this picture. It seem the dog realize he’s being blessed. He looks so very innocent and sweet. Wonderful photo!
