No Chair? No Problem!

Some cities like Paris have lots of benches lining their sidewalks for the footweary to rest. Alexandria has very few. For some, that’s no problem.

Il faut lever une souscription pour mettre des bancs dans Alexandria ;o).

Petite question, Alexandria est une grande ville ? ou moyenne ? (desole pour mon ignorance)

Olivier, merci! Alexandria n’est pas tres grande. Il y a a peu pres 125,000 qui habite ici.

Curly, seemed to me at the time more of a “what the hell could you possibly want with a photo of me” kind of look!

Alice, the sidewalks are very narrow, although there are still places where they could put them and not impede pedestrian traffic. And the downtown area is not very big. Perhaps city officials thought they were not needed. But there is now a plan to turn two blocks of King Street into a pedestrian only area. Those two blocks, where they will remove parking meters, will have benches.

A really super head on shot, Marie. His arm position really makes it wonderful for me.
