These folks like Canada Geese so much, they have a pair that they keep as pets. They feed them so well, the geese are now too fat to fly away. I have to admit, for a half second, I thought these were real. That does solve the problem of lawn muffins, though.

Like some other readers, I would not have thought those were fake before reading your comment. Feeding geese is quite unusual. I was wondering how the real pets behave when they meet other animals, like dogs for instance.
Hmmm.. It was just the lawn muffins that came in to my mind first, whooh, these people really really really must be into these giant birds (despite their giant products)!
Maybe a proper hurricane could learn these geeses to fly too.

She's passionate about Italy and knows how to wring the gusto out of every minute. Beautiful photos of Italy and an interesting travelogue at Melinda Trips.
If you wouldn’t have said it, I thought those were real too. Nice photo Marie!
Wow, I am shocked they are not real. Amazing!
Wow! If you didn’t say they are not real I’d leave your blog believing they are! But are geese really that big there?
Tanty, Helen & Anne, it’s much harder to tell from a photograph that the birds are plastic reproductions. These are quite well done.
Anne, yes, the Canadian Geese really are that big, just not that fat.
Duck, duck, grey duck!
I was just in Wisconsin and saw a lot of these “fake” geese in yards there. Seems like the real ones would suffice, don’t you think?
