You’ve seen how much people love their dogs in Alexandria, but there is also a large group of cat lovers. There are at least a half dozen cat rescue groups and shelters in the Alexandria area alone. I volunteered at one of them for awhile, and during that time two homeless kittens found a home with me.*
This is the first time I’ve seen such a sticker on anyone’s door. What a kind and loving gesture, to think of the welfare of one’s pet in case of emergency. I’ll have to pay more attention now and see if I find any others.

There are a lot of things I like about it already. One thing that’s giving me fits is the scheduled publishing. No matter how I try to end-run it, my posts always pop into place the night before they are scheduled to appear. Oh, well.

Jenni, it’s funny, at first I only wanted to take a shot of the door but almost didn’t because from a distance the red sticker was distracting. Then I got up close and saw what it said! It’s the first such sticker I’ve ever seen. I hope I do see more.
