Two days later, I learned that this is a Cairn Terrier, and her name is Sarah. I was taking a walk in Old Town when I saw a woman walking a similar looking dog. When I asked her about the breed and told her of the photo I took, it turns out she knows the dog and the owner! Small world.

And I just have to tell you (maybe I already have, braincells are fading, LOL!) that my hubby and I visited Alexandria waaaaaaaaay back in the mid-80s and absolutely loved it! We stayed with a couple who offered their home (third floor) as a B&B and we just had a great time walking all over the place!
I’ll have to look up the address and get you to take a pic of the place for me again!
