DP Theme Day: Parking Charges

Parking Charges

Looking a little like a giant tombstone is the ticket dispensing machine at a downtown parking garage. You pay the attendant on your way out. Metered street parking is 25 cents for 20 minutes. These are the rates at one of the most expensive parking garages near the waterfront. Five dollars for the first hour may seem steep, but if you’re going to park, you’ll usually stay awhile. The maximum is only $9 on weeknights and $11 on weekends. Parking tickets are $35, so if you’re going to an event or dining out, it’s a bargain.

    Thanks, Karine!

Kathrine, my town is kind of small. Rates are much higher across the river in Washington DC.

Denton, I may have to retire to Greenville, then! πŸ™‚

Sarah, why yes, it DOES look like a trash can! :D–>
