I like this historic details about the settlers. I knew Mayflower but I didn´t know about Godspeed Sail. I find this information useful and the costumes, the cemetary and the replica are great to illustrate everything.
I agree with Carlos. You live in an area so rich in US history!
Not only is the area rich in history, but there is a great deal of effort made to preserve it and present it as pageantry to revive interest.
I lived in California most of my life. Rich in history, there, too: gold rush, Mexican-American war, etc. But there wasn’t as much effort made in California for preserving or “showing off” its history like there is here. Being here has made me want to learn more about U.S. history, especially the early period.
Ah, and the cemetery. Or rather, cemeteries. There are many old cemeteries here. More on that to come! 🙂
