The Wilson Parrot Foundation always attracts big crowds when they bring their brightly colored friends for a visit to Old Town. The birds enjoy the attention and it helps bring in donations. They had a sulphur crested cockatoo with them today that told me, “I wanna take a bath!”

Louz, thanks! I walked around them a couple of times before I noticed that in this angle their heads not only lined up nicely but there wasn’t a lot of distracting things in the background. It’s not easy, because there’s usually so many people crowding in front of them. 🙂
Have you seen the movie “Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill”? I loved it.

She's passionate about Italy and knows how to wring the gusto out of every minute. Beautiful photos of Italy and an interesting travelogue at Melinda Trips.
The subjects of this photo make it a winner. The colors are great.
Thanks, Denton. It’s always fun to photograph them.
Nice angle on the shot. I love the colors too. Parrots are such beautiful birds.
