It’s very lovely. I love the greenish of it. I live in TX now and I miss the green trees of the east coast.
It’s very green here! I took an overview shot yesterday from a small hill, and you could see only a few of the taller buildings peeking out. The rest was treetops. It keeps Alexandria cooler than DC.
Oh, yes. I love how it was so green there. Trees everywhere. This street looks very pleasant.

Alexandria has a very good Parks & Rec Department which is excellent about replacing trees that have died. Not only are they prompt about replacing trees in the downtown area, but they also take care of the residential areas, too. I called them to replace three trees on my street that had died last year and they were out there two days later!
