The Del Ray farmer’s market sells tasty home baked goods in addition to local produce.

Trust me, it’s only “exotic” at night. But exotic and mysterious at night it is, especially with the glow of those blue grow lights. And no, I am not going to speculate what exotic plants they might be growing in the back room.

Finally, we have vintage fashions. Love their slogan: Fashions, Finds and Junk.

One of Alexandria’s local banks, it’s a hundred years older than I am. Mr. Herbert was the last person to be born in the historic Carlyle House.
This is the Del Ray branch. It’s not the first branch of the bank, but to me it’s the most interesting because of the neon sign.

The coat collection is on display at The Remix. I’m hoping not to need my heavy winter coat for another month yet, but we have had below normal temperatures for the last two weeks. We may be in for a long, cold winter so I’ll enjoy autumn while it lasts.

Unfortunately, I have no more ghost stories for you this season. There are a couple more buildings that are reported to have ghosts, but they’ll have to wait until next year. In the meantime, have a boo-tiful day!

There’s a little chill in the air now at night. Signs of the season are showing up everywhere. The Wizard of Oz should be on TV in October. Seems only fitting.
