		<description>Kate, went by again after shooting this and brought Passante with me. She thought it might have been a doorbell at one time because of the round recessed part with the red dot on it. That seems very likely, looking at it now, although any electrical connection is long gone. But it is a wonderful decorative touch, and I&#039;ve long been fascinated by medieval gargoylesque monsters.
